Loertscher, D. (2007, Sept 29). Professional development sessions taught at the Northeast Independent School District, San Antonio, TX. This session was notable because it was for middle school language arts teachers and their librarians. Based on a previous visit to the district by the presenter, the librarians participated in the development of a year-long curriculum using the Loertscher/Zwaan/Koechlin Think Models. The language arts teachers came voluntarily on a Saturday to learn how to integrate the Think Models into their curriculum.
Loertscher, D. (2007, Sept 15). Ban those birds units II. Professional development sessions taught at the Amarillo Pubic Schools, Amarillo, TX. This session was for principals, teachers, and school librarians who are beginning a year-long grant in library integration.
Loertscher, D. (2007, Aug 13-15). Ban those birds units II. Professional development sessions taught at the Westport Public Schools, Westport, CT. This was a major multiple-day professional development session that culminated a year-long action research project that I consulted with three school librarians and the district coordinator. These people reported their successful use of the Loertscher/Zwaan/Koechlin Think Models at the Treasure Mt. Research Retreat in Reno in October.

This think tank with special international guests began the initiative to write new school library standards for the province of Ontario to replace the Partners in Action document many years ago.
